Grooms Golf Cake

This grooms golf cake was a 3 layer 10" square Red Velvet cake with Chocolate buttercream icing between the layers and on the sides. Vanilla buttercream was used for the grass & Putting green on top.

After icing with the chocolate in between layers and on the sides of the cake, I iced the top with the green buttercream then smoothed with a paper towel.

I then used the grass tip to pipe grassy areas around the putting green and the border of the cake.

I used white chocolate golf balls and tees to place around the border of the cake, 2 ice cream cones piped with leaves using a leaf tip for the trees, brown sugar for the sand trap, blue piping gel for the small pond area, a plastic golfer and flag, and the two small golf balls on top are fondant.

The Groom was Very Pleased!
