Camo and Ammo Wedding Cake

Camo Wedding Cake
This was my first wedding cake...to my shock the couple wanted camo! I made a three tier classic white cake using the 8, 10, and 12" round pans from Wilton. I baked the cakes the night before the wedding, let sit overnight.
The day of the wedding I leveled the cakes, placed them on cardboard rounds, inserted wooden dowels for support. I made buttercream icing and colored it "juniper" green.
I iced each cake and attached camo ribbon around the bottom of each layer (the ribbon matched the brides dress).
On-site, I stacked the three cakes, applied dark orange silk flowers and camo bows. I also used red shotgun shells for decor, each shell was hand painted with the brides name, grooms name and wedding date.
